Starlink, with its 7,000th satellite deployed this week, now dominates the satellite industry, accounting for nearly two-thirds of all active satellites in low Earth orbit. Based on data from CelesTrak, Starlink’s constellation has expanded more than sixfold in just three years to reach 6,370 active satellites, representing 62% of the global total and dwarfing its competitors. With plans to launch up to 42,000 satellites for global broadband coverage, SpaceX is well on its way to serving over 3 million users.
